Classroom Expectations

As a first grade class, we want to learn to read, draw, work, and study. To do this, we will listen, be responsible for ourselves, do our best work, read and practice our work both at home and at school.

The expectations of our elementary include the following:

Be Responsible-
Follow oral and written directions
Be prepared
Make good choices

Be Respectful-
Be courteous
Be honest
Be fair

Be Safe -
Follow Line Basics
Keep hands and feet to self
Make safe and healthy choices

Be a worker -
Be good listeners
Use time wisely
Do your best

If students choose not to follow the expectations, the following consequences will occur.

1st time - color change to yellow (warning and verbal reminder)
2nd time - color change to orange - child is required to write what they did and how they will change their behaviors.
3rd time - color change to red - note or call home, possible visit to the principal

Some actions such as verbal or physical abuse will result in an automatic move to red and a visit with the principal.

All students begin each day on green.
