On Friday, March 1st four Triton Academic Triathlon teams (18 students) competed at the regional competition in Byron. The academic challenges that the students faced were by far the hardest they have been all season, but the performance of our students was amazing!
We had two teams bring home some hardware. Our 6th grade team took home 1st place! They created quite a gap in between them and the 2nd place team. Unfortunately, this year there is no state meet. Otherwise, this team would be state bound!!!
Our 8th grade team took home 2nd place! They actually tied for 1st place based on rankings, but lost the tie breaker due to the raw scores of the events. This is the 3rd time this team has placed 2nd or above this season.
