The start of a new school year is always a time of great anticipation and excitement. Triton Middle and High School extend a warm welcome to many new faces that are motivated to make a difference and to serve the Triton Community!
Corey Black - Activities Director
Mr. Black is a Bemidji State University Graduate. He has experience as a Science Teacher and Football Coach in the Kasson-Mantorville and Albert Lea School Districts. Mr. Black has been working hard to build relationships with students, staff, coaches, and community members to enhance an activities program that reflects the values of the communities of Claremont, Dodge Center, and West Concord.
Alayna Johnson - Special Education Teacher (THS)
Ms. Johnson is a recent graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato. She has successfully completed her student teaching at John Adams Middle School in Rochester. Ms. Johnson comes very highly recommended from the staff at John Adams and also her professors at MSU. Her passion for serving and helping others will make an immediate impact.
Jacob Johnson - Business Education Teacher (THS)
Mr. Johnson will be taking over the Business Education duties as Ms. Goossens transitions to her new role as Technology Integrationist/Instruction Coach. He is a Northwestern, IA Graduate and has a wealth of experience from the Fergus Falls School District. Mr. Johnson has been working hard to prepare for his courses and business experiences. He will have an immediate positive impact on our school and community!
Kevin Krenz - Assistant Principal
Mr. Krenz will be taking over in the Middle School office as Mr. Van Beek transitions to his role as Elementary Principal. Mr. Krenz earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Minnesota Duluth. While teaching in Colorado, Mr. Krenz finalized his principal licensure by completing an Education Specialist degree from the University of Northern Colorado. Most recently, Mr. Krenz has served as an eighth-grade social studies teacher and Dean of Students at John Wesley Powell Middle School in Littleton, Colorado. Mr. Krenz has a deep understanding of instructional best practices and curriculum development and implementation. We are excited to welcome Mr. Krenz and his family to Triton!
Diane Meyer - Counselor (K-12)
Ms. Meyer will be a K-12 school counselor working in collaboration with our counseling and social work staff to make sure that all students' academic and social/emotional needs are met. Ms. Meyer brings a caring, and insightful perspective that will benefit all students and families. Ms. Meyer comes very highly recommended from Kellogg Middle School in Rochester and also from Hastings High School.
Erica Meyers - Science Teacher (TMS)
Ms. Meyers is excited to be part of the Triton family! She comes to us from St. Cloud State University where she earned an MS in Life Science Education. Prior to attending St. Cloud State, she earned a BS in Biological Sciences with a minor in Zoology from North Dakota State University. Ms. Meyer had successful student teaching and practical experiences at Kimball High School, St. Cloud Schools, and Rocori High School.
Kayla Richardson - Physical Education Teacher (TMS)
Ms. Richardson is a graduate of UWRF where she earned a BS in Physical Education and also received licensure in Adapted Physical Education. She had a successful student teaching experience at Zumbrota-Mazeppa and she also spent the majority of the 2020-21 school year as a long-term substitute at Wilson Elementary School in Owatonna. Ms. Richardson will also make a contribution to the school district as a volleyball coach this fall.
Sadie Short - English Teacher (THS)
Ms. Short is a recent graduate of Wartburg College. She had glowing recommendations from the staff at Wartburg and from her cooperating teachers at North Butler Jr./Sr. High School and Waverly West High School. We are excited to welcome Ms. Short to the Triton team!
Stacy Ullom - Art Teacher (TMS-THS)
We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Ullom. She will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to our art department. She has been busy preparing her teaching space and curriculum in anticipation of a successful Art education experience. Mrs. Ullom is a UWRF graduate and is coming to Triton with seven years of experience at St. Clair Public Schools. Mrs. Ullom’s high level of organization and exceptional work ethic will help our school continue to enhance our Art education experiences.
Jennifer Wyttenbach - Language Arts Teacher (TMS)
Ms. Wyttenbach has served as both a teacher and instructional coach. She is joining our team with over a decade of experience at Kasson-Mantorville Middle School. Ms. Wyttenbach earned her BS in Elementary Education with a Language Arts endorsement from Winona State and her MS in Education also from Winona State. Ms. Wyttenbach will bring an interactive, student-centered approach that will make an immediate impact at Triton Middle School!
